The journal of Nature Medicine reported recently that eating aged cheese was connected to a longer life span in mice.
“The mice do not only live longer when we supplement spermidine to the drinking water, but they are also healthier in terms of cardiac function,” says the study conducted at the the University of Graz in Austria.
The study observed 800 Italians and found that those who ate more cheese had lower blood pressure, a reduced risk of cardiovascular disease and 40 percent lower risk of heart failure.
